Previously, Parent visa applicants submitting paper applications had limited access to online tools. Now, once the Department acknowledges receipt of a paper application, the applicant can import the application into ImmiAccount, making it easier to manage their application.
While applicants must still apply using a paper form, parent visa applicants can now manage their submitted visa application online through ImmiAccount – once their application has been acknowledged by the Department of Home Affairs.
These services help applicants save time and include the ability to:
Log In to ImmiAccount
Go to immi.homeaffairs.gov.au
Click ‘Login to ImmiAccount’ and enter your credentials.
Navigate to ‘My Applications’
Once logged in, click on the ‘My applications’ tab on the dashboard.
Click on ‘Import Application’
On the right side of the page (or under the ‘Actions’ menu), select ‘Import Application’.
Enter the Application Details
You will need:
Transaction Reference Number (TRN) or File Number
Applicant’s date of birth
Applicant’s passport number
The type of visa (e.g., Subclass 804, 103, 143, etc.)
Verify and Confirm
Double-check that all details are correct. Once submitted, the system will link the application to your ImmiAccount.
Note: This service is available for all new and existing applications, except for Parent (subclass 103) visas lodged before November 2018.
