Getting the ETA (subclass 601) is a three-stage process which goes as follows:
STEP 1: Consult with our Agents to determine your eligibility for a Subclass 601 visa.
To begin your application, our Registered Migration Agents will assess your eligibility for the visa, and advise you of possible visa pathways to visit Australia temporarily.
STEP 2: Gather your Documents
Once our agents deem you eligible for a 601 visa, they will provide you with a custom checklist for a tourist visa to support your application.
STEP 3: Wait for Visa Grant
Once the necessary application and documents are finalised, our Agents will apply for your visa. We may advise you to undertake health or police checks, if it is required for your application.
There is no Visa Application Charge (VAC). There may be an application service charge of AUD20
Processing Time is currently not available for this visa. Usually ETA’s are processed fairly quickly, within 2 weeks of application.
From 21 February 2022, double vaccinated travellers holding a valid visa can travel to Australia without a travel exemption. Unvaccinated visa holders will still need to be in an exempt category or hold an individual travel exemption to enter Australia.
ETA APPLICATION VIA THE APP
From 6 April 2022, all ETA eligible passport holders can apply for the visa using the ETA app.
At this time, ETA lodgement is only available through the Australian ETA app. You cannot apply for an ETA online, or through an agent or airline at this time, unless the application is lodged via the ETA app.
