BUSINESS CATEGORY (PROVISONAL)

This visa category is generally for Business Owners, Senior Executives and Investors. They are initially granted a Provisional visa for 4 years and can be eligible to apply for a Business (Skills) Residence visa if they can satisfy the requirements of this visa. The criteria are complex and usually the applicant needs to meet the following requirements:

1. A successful business background going back at least the last 4 years



2. At least AUD$250,000 in net personal assets (other classes will require more) plus sufficient personal assets to settle in Australia (around AUD$50,000 per family of four per annum)



3. A business proposal or plan of your business intentions in Australia



4. State sponsorship granted on the basis of acceptable business proposal (business proposals for regional areas are given favorable treatment)



5. Be less than 55 years of age unless there are special circumstances
